Server hardware manufacturer GAGAR>N and the developers of the vStack hyperconverged platform tested their products for compatibility according to the Open Compute Project standard. The end-to-end tests showed that the domestic vStack solution works correctly on the servers of the Russian developer.

The companies conducted several stages of testing. In the first stage, they performed a full installation of the vStack hyperconverged platform on the cluster. At the next stage of testing, they made sure that the hardware and operating systems were visible, and that the drivers worked with the hardware without problems. The results of the testing revealed that the solution works correctly on GAGAR>N servers. The third stage – load testing – showed that the equipment is suitable for the load, which can be created with the infrastructure.

The level of vStack performance on GAGAR>N equipment matches the level of solutions of foreign market leaders.

The partners plan to promote their products together. Thanks to this cooperation, vStack customers will be able to create virtual data centers of the corporate level based on the Russian platform and GAGAR>N servers. They also plan to create a joint hardware and software complex.

“In 2022, the availability of foreign equipment and software in Russia decreased significantly. Russian companies began to pay attention to domestic solutions. This primarily concerns those who plan to develop or upgrade IT infrastructure in the near future. More than 50% of the companies are searching for the alternative solutions to the world vendors products. Compatibility of vStack with GAGAR>N equipment will allow to develop enterprise-level infrastructure projects based on domestic solutions,” said Evgeniy Gavrilov, vStack project manager.

“The development of strategic alliances with Russian suppliers of innovative data center solutions has great prospects. Our expertise and the vStack solution will help continue to automate Russian businesses,” commented Irina Baranova, Partner Director at GAGAR>N.
